FAQ / Order Info

$8 Flat Rate Shipping per order no matter how many bats/batting gloves that you purchase.

Bats will typically be delivered in two to three weeks after the order is placed.  It takes this long for one specific reason:  two weeks is length of time required for the polyurethane protective finish to fully cure.  When you receive your bat, we want you to be able to go take some swings as soon as you can.  By allowing the poly to completely cure, the finish of your newly crafted bat will be much more durable.

If we make a mistake with your bat, such as wrong color or personalization, we will gladly replace the bat at no expense to you.  We guarantee bats for breakage if the break occurs within 30-days of receipt of bat AND in the last 12” of the barrel AND the break is perpendicular to the label.  If the break is any lower, the breakage is likely due to swinging at an inside pitch and not getting the barrel on the ball or bat is being used with balls other that baseballs.

Finding a true Drop 3 bat can be tricky as it is a delicate balancing act between weight and durability.  With wood, most opt for a bit more of the latter.  Even the metal/composite bats are almost never a true Drop 3.  The Drop 3 weight is typically the bat weight without knob, end cap, and paint included.  Take a food scale and weigh those bats and you will see for yourself.  Even allowing for ½ ounce for the grip, many metal/composite bats are more like a Drop 1.8 – 2.4.

With an End-Loaded bat, a greater portion of the bat weight is towards the barrel end of the bat.  With a Balanced bat, that weight is closer to, but not at, the center of the bat.  To be candid, there is no such thing as a true Balanced wood bat.  When talking about wood bats and balance, what we really should be saying is that is less End-Loaded than a bat described as End-Loaded.  In other words, the tipping point is closer to the center on a Balanced bat than an End-Loaded bat.

“Hand-split” billets are typically stronger than bats that are machine cut as the billet supplier actually looks at the grain of the wood and makes splits based on grain direction. This helps ensure straighter grains and stronger bats.

With the dye, the wood grain will be visible under the coloring.  With paint, the coloring will be solid and the wood grain will be covered.  When selecting a dye as the barrel color, we highly suggest either a natural handle or a painted handle.   Can’t go wrong with any combination, but really consider the dyes for the barrel as they are stunning.
